行政長官李家超表示，特區政府安排一系列豐富慶祝活動，與市民分享國慶的喜悅，其中煙花匯演是重頭戲，盛載對祖國繁榮昌盛的美好祝願。他勉勵大眾繼續努力，為國家和香港的輝煌成就作出貢獻。

國慶煙花匯演今晚舉行，慶祝中華人民共和國成立75周年。31,888枚煙花在維多利亞港上空綻放，吸引大批市民在港九多處觀賞。 煙花匯演歷時約23分鐘，由文化體育及旅遊局統籌，主題為「盛世煙花耀中華」，分為八幕，各具特色。

大匯演由不同紀律部隊和輔助部隊樂隊的表演拉開序幕。在警察樂隊的演奏下，各部隊和團體的成員以中式步操進場，消防處護旗方隊繼而進行升旗儀式，現場奏唱國歌，政府飛行服務隊直升機在空中敬禮。

房屋局局長兼香港房屋委員會主席何永賢今日出席房委會在油塘大本型商場舉辦的國慶活動，並率領11位來自不同公共屋邨的長者穿上由理工大學時裝及紡織學院設計、富中國元素的服飾進行時裝表演。
