CAMDEN, N.J. – Friday felt, a newly shaven Nick Nurse said, like a rare “normal day at the office” for the 76ers. It got a little less normal when Joel Embiid addressed the media for the first time since the start of a season in which he has yet to play.

It’s hard to know the gravity of the 76ers’ dismal start to the 2024-25 season while two players from their vaunted Big Three have yet to play. Through four games, the unit on the floor has consisted of Tyrese Maxey and a collection of role players who were asked to be costars.

Joel Embiid and Paul George are out tomorrow vs. Detroit. They participated in portions of practice today, and will be re-assessed later in the week. We’ll be speaking to Nick
