The oldest known tablet inscribed with the Ten Commandments from the Old Testament is expected to fetch up to $2 million when it goes up for auction next month.

The oldest known stone tablet of the 10 Commandments which had been used as a paving slab for 30 years is now up for auction for just $2 million.

(CNN) – The oldest-known tablet with the 10 Commandments from the Old Testament inscribed on it is going up for auction. Sotheby’s officials said it could go for $2 million. The religious rock dates back about 1,500 years, weighs 115 pounds and stands 2 feet tall.

For thirty years, the plaque served as a paving stone at the entrance of a house, with the inscription facing up and exposed to foot traffic.
