By December 2026, Emirates SkyCargo is expected to operate a fleet of 21 production-built Boeing 777 freighters, expanding its current fleet of 11 aircraft. In addition to production-built aircraft, Emirates has invested in converting ten passenger Boeing 777-3000ERs into freighters for further capacity and fleet growth.

In July, Emirates announced another order of five 777 Freighters. That initial order was meant to boost main deck cargo capacity 30% by 2026 before the additional planes order was announced Monday.

Dubai's Emirates has ordered five Boeing 777F freighters and will make a decision this year on a purchase of further Boeing or Airbus models for its fleet beyond 2028/29, the airline said on Monday. The announcement confirms a Reuters report last week that Emirates had ordered current-generation 777F freighters in September,

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) shares are trading higher premarket on Monday. The company disclosed an order from Emirates SkyCargo for five additional 777 Freighters, adding to a previous order of five.

Emirates, one of the world's biggest cargo carriers, is expanding its fleet with a new order of five Boeing 777F freighters that will boost capacity to meet “strong” demand with Dubai cementing its position as a global logistics hub.
