Authorities in Canada have arrested a man suspected of stealing information from around 165 companies using Snowflake’s cloud storage services, as reported earlier by Bloomberg and 404 Media.

Alexander 'Connor' Moucka allegedly hacked numerous customers of cloud storage provider Snowflake, including AT&T, Neiman Marcus, and possibly Ticketmaster.

Canadian authorities have arrested a man suspected of being behind a string of hacks involving as many as 165 customers of Snowflake Inc., according to people familiar with the matter.

The hacker believed to be behind the massive AT&T data breach back in April this year has been caught and arrested.

A 26-year-old man in Ontario, Canada has been arrested for allegedly stealing data from and extorting more than 160 companies that used the cloud data service Snowflake. At the end of 2023, malicious hackers learned that many large companies had uploaded huge volumes of sensitive customer data to Snowflake accounts that were protected with little more than a username and password (no multi-factor authentication required).
