Joey Fatone will join the cast of & Juliet, the show’s producers announced Tuesday, marking the NYSNC star’s return to Broadway after two decades.

In the coming-of-age musical, which supposes that Juliet didn't kill herself at the end of 'Romeo and Juliet," Fatone will play Lance, the beloved of the nurse Angelique. The story is set to the beat of several pop hits by Swedish songwriter Max Martin, including "Oops ... I Did It Again," "Teenage Dream" and "Larger Than Life."

The NSYNC crooner will return to the City theater scene in the blockbuster jukebox musical “& Juliet” next year.

Fatone will begin performances on Jan. 21 for a limited nine-week engagement through March 16. He’s taking over the role from original cast member Paulo Szot. Fatone made his Broadway debut in 2002 as Mark Cohen in “Rent” and later played Seymour in “Little Shop of Horrors” in 2004.

Fatone is best known for his role as a founding member of the Nineties boy band ‘NSync. Earlier this year, he joined forces with former boy band rival Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean on a joint tour.

"I can't wait to get out there and sing Max Martin's amazing songs — his hits have shaped so much of pop music," Joey Fatone said.
