Dense fog in Delhi is causing significant disruptions at Indira Gandhi International Airport, leading to flight delays and diversions. Nine flights were diverted on Monday, and over 160 experienced delays due to poor visibility.

As per the official statement, flights are disrupted between 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, underlining the challenges faced because of adverse weather.

Of the 15 flights, 13 were diverted to Jaipur and 1 each to Dehradun and Lucknow, the official said and added that the diversions happened between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm.

Delhi flights, including arrivals and departures, faced delays of up to two hours, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

New Delhi: Five flights were diverted from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) on Monday morning due to bad weather conditions in the national capital. According to officials, four flights were rerouted to Jaipur, while one was diverted to Dehradun.

Flight operations in Delhi were hindered on November 8 by severe smog, with an Air Quality Index peaking at 490. Airlines including Air India, Indigo and SpiceJet recommended passengers check flight statuses and prepare for potential delays.
