The Alabama high school football rankings once again shifted following the final week of football in September.

High school football games continued throughout the state of Alabama Sep. 26-27 and there was plenty of great action taking place. The No. 1 team in the Yellowhammer State remains Central-Phenix City after no game with IMG Academy and then followed by the Saraland Spartans and Thompson.

Week 5 of high school football kicks off Thursday, but some games have been canceled due to the threat of Hurricane Helene. The CBS 42 Game of the Week is a big-time matchup between two teams who have been atop their region for several years.
