Ryanair is pushing back against Germany's recent move to hike aviation taxes, which it argues is damaging for the travel industry.

Ryanair is to cancel all flights to three German airports during Summer 2025, blaming high taxes and airport fees imposed by the German government.

Ryanair Holdings Plc will stop flying to the German cities of Dortmund, Dresden and Leipzig, and withdraw the majority of its flights to Hamburg as it spars with the government over rising taxes.

Irish low-cost airline Ryanair said on Thursday it would cut 12% of its traffic through German airports, making good on threats to reduce its presence in the country due to some of the highest location charges in Europe.
