The next big Call of Duty game, Black Ops 6, launches on October 25. Many might be wondering how long the campaign will take to complete. That remains to be seen, but one of the game's senior developers has informed fans about the length they should expect and how it compares to the franchise's past.

According to both execs, the campaign is going to be slightly longer than Black Ops Cold War, but still within the classic Call of Duty length. Cold War scored a measly 5-6 hours, which made it even more frustrating, considering it finally had a compelling story.

The traditional Prestige system will return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Players will need to reach the max level of 55 before being able to enter. The rewards for reaching Prestige level 1 include a special icon, an operator skin, multiplayer and Zombies Calling Card Challenge Sets, and a permanent unlock.

Earlier this year, Treyarch developer Yale Miller told Game File the Black Ops 6 campaign would be as long as a “classic” Call of Duty, suggesting it would net out around six to eight hours. Co-developer Raven Software recently doubled down on that assessment, promising fans it would be longer than Cold War ’s campaign which only ran five hours.
