South Africa's Test captain Temba Bavuma has made a successful recovery from an elbow injury and will lead the side in their upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka. The 14-man squad will also feature Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee,

The upcoming Test series is important for the hosts as they are searching for their maiden World Test Championship (WTC) final appearance. The Proteas have to secure victories in all four of their upcoming home Tests, including two each against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, to guarantee their spot in the WTC finale at Lord's next June.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has been cleared to face Sri Lanka in two home tests starting in Durban on Nov. 27 after missing out on the series sweep in Bangladesh last month with an elbow injury.

Sri Lanka have announced their Test squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa away from home. The Dhananjaya de Silva-led side will miss Ramesh Mendis' services as he has been dropped from the team despite picking six wickets in the only Test he played this year.
