Tuesday’s election results for the Wisconsin State Legislature were mixed. Wisconsin Democrats won several key state Senate races, breaking the Republican 22-seat supermajority and laying the groundwork for Democrats to compete for a majority in 2026.

Republicans emerged from Tuesday's elections with their majority in the state Senate intact and poised to maintain their edge in the Assembly despite new district boundaries that Democrats had hoped would give them a chance at finally making major inroads in both chambers.
