Tropical Storm John came ashore on Mexico’s Pacific Coast on Thursday, coming back to life for a second landfall after its previous deadly passage through the country earlier in the week

Towns along Mexico’s Pacific coast are dealing with torrential rain, flooding and landslides after “zombie” storm John strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane.

Hurricane John strengthened once again on Thursday as it closed in on Mexico's southwestern coast dotted with ports and tourist hotspots, an area already soaked by the slow-moving storm system over the past several days.
