Kuki-Zo organisations hold CRPF personnel responsible for the death of the 10 “village volunteers” whom the police have accused of being armed militants involved in the November 11 attack on the Borob

Tensions in Manipur continue to escalate following a deadly gunfight in Jiribam last week, in which ten individuals were killed. The Kuki-Zo groups have claimed that those killed were village volunteers.

Several BJP officeholders and allies have resigned and withdrew support from the Manipur government as the situation worsened.

Students from class 10 onwards are urged to wear black shirts, and the Kuki groups will carry 10 dummy coffins to honour the slain youths, whose bodies remain in a local morgue amid ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur.

Amid rising tensions, Manipur’s Kuki organisations held a rally holding mock coffins in Churachandpur on 19. The massive rally was held in remembrance of their community members killed in violence in Manipur.
