As the sport continues to grow rapidly, there will now be two classes competing at the IGHSAU girls state wrestling tournament in February at the Xtreme Arena in Coralville. The Ames area will once again feature four high school girls wrestling teams — Ames, Ballard, Gilbert and Nevada.
