The San Francisco Giants made a drastic change on Monday, letting go of the president of baseball operations, Farhan Zaidi. Out goes Zaidi, and in comes former Giants superstar and future Hall of Famer Buster Posey to replace the seven-year president. Giants chairman Greg Johnson released a statement on the decision to go with Posey.

A change was probably necessary, but going from Zaidi to Posey is a shock. We won't know if the change worked for a while.

All-Star Catcher and beloved Giants All-Star Buster Posey will be taking over as President of Baseball Operations for the organization.
