Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is set to be available for the Champions League match against Aston Villa on Wednesday after making a quick recovery from a left ankle injury.

“Harry Kane suffered a painful blow to his ankle in Saturday's top Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen,” a club statement read. “Examinations by FC Bayern's medical department on Sunday showed a positive development. Kane will continue to receive intensive treatment.”

Aston Villa had a similarly convincing win in their tournament opener, defeating Young Boys 3-0 on the road. They have picked up where they left off last season, chasing a top-four finish in the Premier League as they currently have 13 points in six games, and are only two points behind the top of the table.
