England Rugby is providing sanitary provisions to more than 500 clubs for their female players, members and visitors as "the world has moved on from rugby union being a predominantly male sport."

Host England will launch the 2025 women's Rugby World Cup against the United States in Sunderland on Aug. 22, World Rugby announced Tuesday. The match will take place at the Stadium of Light, the home of north-east football club Sunderland as organizers look to take rugby union to nontraditional grounds as well as established locations.

The 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup will kick off on Aug. 22 with hosts England taking on 1991 winners United States, two days before defending champions New Zealand face Spain, organisers said on Tuesday.
