Camden Yards will open 2 1/2 hours before first pitch Tuesday, and Maryland alumnus Scott Van Pelt will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

The stage is set for the first Wild Card game of the 2024 postseason for the Orioles, who will take on the Kansas City Royals at Camden Yards Tuesday at 4:08 p.m. Orioles fans were fired up as they chanted for the team at a postseason rally at the Inner Harbor Monday.

“Cole is one of the premier left-handers in the game,” Hyde said. “He’s got great stuff, and we are going to have our hands full. This guy has a big-time fastball and it’s going to be a challenge.” Game 1 is set for 3:08 p.m. Central from Orioles Park at Camden Yards. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
