Blue one is dedicated to Graphic Card (and is populatet in my motherboard), grey one is 8x and for second graphic card (empty) and black is 1x-4x according to BIOS settings and is dedicated to high speed devices.

WEBMar 29, 2021 · I had a couple NVMe drives running in a 2009 Mac Pro (running linux, mostly) using a PCIe adapter. PCIe 3.0 native SSD's running in PCIe 2.0 mode, x4 I think but they would have run in x2 just fine as well. So yes, it should work.

High-end chipsets have this, with ASRock pointing in the direction of Intel's latest X299 chipset, as well as AMD's new X399 chipset.

WEBOct 22, 2017 · Hi Qasar. Yeah I thought about getting that adapter for the full PCIe slot. Maybe I should just get 2 NVME drives and the PCIe adapter, and run some tests. I read somewhere that the "regular" M.2 slot is basically bottlenecked at a theoretical 8GB/s compared to 16GB/s for "Ultra" M2 or even 32GB/s on some boards/architectures.

WEBAug 29, 2020 · Just buy a Pcie to NVMe adapter, install a ssd nvme on it and plug in PCIe 16 slot. Will be ricognized immediately by Windows 10 and will work with a peak speed of 1600 mb/s.WIth a Ivy Brige CPU that could enable Pcie 3.0 peak speed will beh a lot higher.
