WEBMay 10, 2007 · V8-swapped Elise lapping an Enzo. Now that I've got your attention, let's talk seriously for a minute about engine swaps. From what I gather, it costs roughly $15k to go FI on the Elise's 2ZZ for 275 hp at the crank and you're adding maybe 50 lbs to the car either with turbos or sc + intercooler.

WEBMar 22, 2022 · Bigger engine. why has no one put the engine from the Porsche 911 gt2 into the lotus exige the flat 6 Porsche engine has 350 more hp and about 300 ft-lbs more torque and only weight 65kg more than the 2ZZ-ge Toyota engine. Here is the plan, upgrade the turbos, freshly removed and off to PT Turbo, per Gonzo's recommendation, and I did chat with a few different turbo folks. So we will see what they say after they get them. Obviously going to add a Snow water/methanol injection system to the car.
