WEBThe desktop app is pretty new and evolving so it might get better. For now I've found better customization through the mobile app. I haven't made any complex custom animations but from what I've seen they can be accomplished using a custom Auto Run (first bottom tab in the app, automations and scroll to bottom).

Then lastly delete everything in vue.config.js (file in root folder) and add this to the file. then run. npm run publish. it should made a dist_electron folder, where you should see the executable file for mac.

Govee Desktop works fine from a PC plugged into a switch plugged into your router as long as it and your devices are on the same subnet or you have a static route setup between subnets. This is how I currently have my setup connected. The latest version of the Govee Desktop is a bit hit-or-miss.

WEBDec 15, 2022 · Desktop govee app won't connect to any lights. I've done everything, they are connected to the same internet, everything is right even the LAN is on, Why isn't this working? Could be some type of security product you may be using. The desktop app uses the internal UDP api to connect to the devices and control it.

WEBFeb 29, 2024 · Govee Desktop app not installing. I recently purchased the Govee G1 Strip Lights to use it’s dreamview feature. When I try to install the Govee Desktop app however, it just uses a generic Windows installer, and when it finishes installing nothing gets installed. EDIT: unzipping the file fixed it as the application itself was hidden there.

As this is required to be running for Razer Synapse to work. Tho it looks like you still need to go and manually toggle on 'razer chroma control' each time.
