WEBOct 22, 2020 · Posted March 9, 2021. Just got my Chime doorbell on Sunday. Will be a little bit before electrician comes out to run cat6 behind doorbell, but still tested out some things. Biggest issue: Lack of HTML settings page in Home Edition. This essentially makes the product just a couple steps improved over a basic doorbell.

WEBSep 6, 2021 · If someone rings the doorbell, there is a variable delay, which can be 5 or 10 seconds, and then my phone "rings". I have to then unlock the phone, swipe down the notifications, tap on the notification to open the C4 app, and then hit the green icon to 'answer' the call. This takes way too long.

The Chime app is a standalone app (C4 Intercom) and runs on IOS, so yes- you should be able to have it ring and display video on any device running the app, including an iPad. HOWEVER- If you don't have any C4 screens or C4 audio, I would suggest a Ring doorbell instead.

WEBAug 14, 2021 · Another follow-up: I rebooted my Controller, and now Chime Doorbell rings go to our phones in addition to the T3. Problem solved. Still needing help with number 1 and 3, with number 1 being the most important in terms of usability.

WEBJun 30, 2021 · Basic doorbell button to a sensor, and distributed amps that are relay controlled or IP controlled (vs sensing) it's under a second. 'Smart' doorbells can be slower - My Chime and DS2 are very quick, but Ring or Doorbird are a bit slower (has to go through the cloud). If you're using sensing amps (ie auto turn on) then I don't recommend it.

WEBNov 29, 2022 · Either of these two devices appears to solve the problem of getting a doorbell chime to work with the Control 4 Wifi Chime (the POE model will supposedly work just fine with a digital doorbell chime of any kind) but I can personally attest to the Sonos Roam option working wonderfully and highly recommend it for anyone else in this situation.

WEBOct 22, 2020 · My dealer added the chime as two separate things ( a camera and intercom). Shows up in my app under Security -> Camera. and also Intercom -> Front Doorbell Intercom. If I go to security -> camera, I don't get sound. Though, if I view recorded motion history from that same area, the videos do have sound.
