Is the Top Fin 125 Gallon Aquarium Combo Any Good?
WEB1,324. 2,263. 164. Oct 5, 2021. #4. I bought the Top Fin / Marineland 120 gal. combo from Petsmart, eight years ago. It was the Black Friday sale, got it for $300 even. The Top Fin 125 combo was also on sale, but I liked the deeper more boxy shape of the 120. Both combos had thick glass, black silicone, glass tops & cheap lights.

WEBJul 17, 2017 · Oct 6, 2021. #18. That 125 gallon setup used to be made by aqueon. I think quality might have gone down a little. For lights at least as they appear shorter. These usually go on sale for 500 and you can add 25% off coupon on top of it. After that it's 375 which is a pretty good deal.

WEBAug 21, 2006 · The glass is thick. It’s siliconed well with a solid glass top and meaty center support. It also came with a good LED light. I would have preferred their Marineland 75 with stand but the Top Fin was taller with the MarineLand somewhat shorter and it looked off to me. Buy with confidence I’m happy with mine.

WEBFeb 12, 2015 · A friend bought a 125 + stand recently, identical to AGA that I have, which I believe is now owned by Aqueon. The plastic handles on the glass top said --- Aqueon. The 75 gallon tanks I purchase from P-smart are Aqueons as indicated by the test kit vial that came with the tank.

WEBOct 17, 2008 · Three turnovers is the minimum rate that you should go (five is typical). At that rate, you would be looking at 375 gallons per hour (at tank height, not pump rating). At tank height, most pumps lose 1/3 to 1/2 of their flow rating. Double check the pump curve before you settle on a pump.
